Save Spankey

April Fool’s quickly went from our favorite, to our least favorite day of the year when we started browsing the Internet this morning and realized that all extreme posts were just a series of really lame jokes. We sort of laughed at Skatepark of Tampa’s announcement that they were filing chapter 11. Number one debtor a gentleman’s club! Now that’s pretty good. MethodMag’s post about Shaun White leaving snowboarding for acting was fairly entertaining, but then things just got bad. Something about Travis Rice being a skier, and Tara Dakides being on Rome, etc. A bunch of stuff that completely missed the mark of being, you know, funny, and we were over it. But then someone alerted us to this Craigslist posting, and we are back in the spirit!
This is a really tough thing for me to do, but in order to take care of my family, i have to do it.
Our family has had this Raccoon, “Spankey” for about 2 years now, and hes really sweet with children and totally housebroken. He can do a bunch of tricks and hes really good with other animals too. He can do Hi-5’s, roll over and play dead, and he’s also been taught how to bring the remote control from the TV to us (coons have thumbs!)
My elderly mother just moved in to our house so we could take better care of her, but shes allergic to it, so we want to give him to a good home who will love him like we do.
call Ryan @ 949 212 4606 or 949 661 5146 leave a message if i dont anwer and try the other number, i get bad service where i live!
The Ryan in question is none other than Snowboarder Magazine photo editor Ryan Hughes and reports are he’s being a good sport. That doesn’t mean, however, that you should refrain from calling him, incessantly about the raccoon. Those things have thumbs, and who doesn’t need something to fetch their remote for them!
