The first week of the skate battle can only be described as a blow out, with the champ taking an impressive 83% of the vote. But this week’s challenger also worked with a stylish skateboarder and expert lighting. Does the shot have what it takes? As always, you pick!

    whats wack about the lighting in the challenger? its just normal. if anything the lighting in the champ is sort of reminiscent of the whole dvs skate and create from last year. the lighting in the challenger is pretty much just good lighting with no frills or gimmicks. not every photo needs colored gels and some crazy perspective to be good.

    The lighting in the champ is wack. Looks like a scene from THPS 1. Challenger’s looks like a shot from your bro’s back yard. Sick. Challenger FTW.

    All these photo contests rely too much on flash photography. Its like a porn set, not a skate or snowboard session. Might as well go skate in a studio!

    The first one looks nicer, but its just a simple blunt stall. The second one still looks pretty sweet, and hes doing something that seems more challenging. I say number 2.
