Who’s from Las Vegas, films snowboarding, and stalks around in only black? Justin Meyer that’s who. Sounds interesting enough to us, so we thought we’d bug him a little bit. 

Yobeat: How do kids in Vegas get into trouble?

Justin: I guess the same as any other city. For us it was a little bit of skateboarding, bit of drinking, some ruckus, and all that nonsense. Also, in Vegas everything is open 24 hours-a-day. Drugs are everywhere. Lots of tourists, and everyone is going 10x faster then the rest of the country.

Worst moment you’ve ever had with Desiree?

Skip, I pick on her too much. She doesn’t deserve such torment.

Which is scarier, jail in Mexico or Texas?

I lived pretty much in both. Lived in El Paso, Texas, and lived in Las Cruces, New Mexico, so close enough. Seeing that I don’t speak much Spanish I wouldn’t want to be in jail in Mexico.

If you got hired to shoot and edit a reality show based on pro-snowboarders who would you cast and why?

(Laughing) I can’t do this one. Skip, I tried, it was ‘bout to get me in trouble.

Why do you only dress in black?

I don’t actually, it’s just I only had one shirt for the past four months and it happened to be black, and I don’t like blue jeans.

How does the editor of VideoGrass only have one shirt? Shouldn’t you have some free stuff in your closet?

Nobody hooks me up. Ashbury shirts are all hipster neck, not to mention Lance (Hakker) don’t send me shit anyways. So until I went and hung with good ol’ Brian Cook at 32 I couldn’t bring myself to buy a t-shirt. But I’m straight for five years now.

Number one thing you wish you could get for free but can’t?

Food? Rent?
