Seriously Zim? This is the shot that you chose to go up this week? Did Brooke pick the photos again? What is with you and loving the grossly over-exposed shots? Its like Over-compensated vs Over-exposed this week!
And what the hell ever happened to people waiting for decent light to take their shots?? Seriously people, let this be a lesson to you: Overcast weather is only good to shoot in if you have some sick flashes, and High Noon is only a good time to shoot snowboarding if you’re over 68% retarded. These both suck.
Seriously Zim, I’m calling it out. You guys need to put my kingvale shot of Lane Knaack jibbing the cement mixer up against one of the so-called winners of this week. I think these kids need a lesson in composition and contrast
You know what needs a call out? A kid that comments on every photo like he’s Ansel fucking Adams but without the credentials or skill to back it up.
If you think you’re God’s gift to photographic exposure and composition team up with Chase Jarvis and start offering seminars to Brooks students. It pays better than the Photo Battle.

Hey hold up… yeah it did. I will take the blame, the photographer had submitted both versions and I managed to post the wrong one after Zim picked the one that’s in there now. Figured it was early enough that it wouldn’t really matter… feel free to hate on me as much as you’d like.
It’s so easy to talk shit and hate on other people’s work when it isn’t your own. Zim has to decide what photos make the cut, so clearly he sees something working in each photo he posts. I’m pretty sure he knows that the hell he is up when it comes to photography.

I wasn’t trying to piss anyone off dude, I just throw out the same “hate” that everyone threw me when
I had a photo up there. And it isn’t like I always talk shit, I’m a photography student so I just like to break things down, shit man I figured my analysis posts were better contributions than all the ones about how the photo is so whack because there isn’t a visible takeoff or landing…
And I’m not trying to act like I’m the authority on photography either, I was just trying to be funny when I “called you out” I didn’t mean anything by it. Other posters have done it before. In retrospect, reading my post it’s not very obvious that I was just being silly, so apologies all around.
God that new angle would be sick shot at dusk with some hardcore shadows. Or night with some cool lighting. I like that one a lot more. Too bad I cant change my vote…

i thought this was an official photo class message board. since i didnt go to coolege i was hoping to graduate from YoBeats Photo Battle Shit Talk of Fine Arts. each week i learn something about photography with a new ‘experienced’ photog sharing their “2 cents” of shit saying how the photo they are affiliated with is better then the other. or a professional blog photog guest commenter claiming how the photos should have been shot, thats funny.
