YoBeat: Making Fun of Snowboarding Since 1997

Since we started the Firing Squad, YoBeat’s heated photo battle, in 2008, nine photos and eight photographers have earned a spot in the Champions Gallery. And now, we’re making the pot even sweeter. In addition to fame, glory and a DAKINE camera pack, one photo from each photographer previously inducted into the Champions Gallery will now vie for a prize pack from PocketWizard. Why should you care? Because you get to decide who wins an awesome set up worth over $800.

Like regular weekly battles, the winner will be chosen by a vote. The PocketWizard Ultimate Champion Battle begins January 4th, 2010 and will run for two weeks. The photo with the most votes when the polls close will win a package worth over $800 from PocketWizard including:

1x MiniTT1 Transmitter
2x FlexTT5 Transceivers
1x AC3 ZoneController
1 case for above

The photographers in the 2009 PocketWizard Ultimate Champion Batttle are: Jay Cagney , Robbie Sell, Ian Matteson, Darcy Bacha, Paul Miller, Marek Ogien, Brian Walnum and Lukasz Skornog. Eight Amazing photos, but only one can win. The Ultimate Champion of 2009 will be announced on January 18, 2010. Check back January 4th, and vote for your favorite.
