YoBeat: Making Fun of Snowboarding Since 1997

The Olympics have done crazy things this year — everyone wants a piece of this snowboarding magic. But it doesn’t really seem right to blame the Olympics for a Superbowl Sunday appearance by the Tahoe Dangerzone crew on network TV, because let’s face it, Nikki Fresh is not making the team, not even the boardercross one. I don’t think he even takes snowboarding seriously. But if you’re in the greater Sacramento area, don’t miss it.

A little more than a year ago, Josh Parker and Nick Visconti created web edits to express the true potential of Tahoe snowboard fun and creativity. From the depths of love for Tahoe was bred the Tahoe Dangerzone. This season we have brought on full time creative director Tim Bradley and have been producing weekly HD Dangerzone Web Episodes. We have continued to pursue the creation of online snowboard media while staying true to the individuality and wildness of Tahoe Dangerzone minds. Tahoe Dangerzone has seen immense growth into an online snowboard epidemic. This year we have made wonderful connections and partnered with a few brands that have similar visions for online media! The hype we are trying to produce, the exposure we are grasping for and opportunity’s Dangerzone has been given have been such a blessing to laying this foundation. With some exciting accomplishments of the past year, we are proud to announce yet another! CBS News contacted Dangerzone about doing a news segment about the new snowboard epidimic!

We shot a full news segment, interviews, wild snowboarding, and one-liner debauchery on Thursday February 4th. Thanks to the help of Boreal Ski Resort, Jon Slaughter and Eric Rosenwald, we were able to express the true innovation and creativity of Dangerzone for CBS! However, we would not expect CBS to tred lightly on Dangerzone territory. With some insane crashes, collisions, upside-down time, creative features and and positive crew, CBS has decided not only has this been the favorite of the reporter’s segments, but that the segment will air on SuperBowl Sunday!
