Firing Squad Champions Battle: Final Round

Well, it all comes down to this. Three Champions, battling it out, head to head, for the most glory we’ve offered in the Firing Squad, ever. At the end of this battle, one photographer will walk away with the grand prize: a session at the High Cascade Photo Workshop at Mt. Hood (August 5-10) and a GoPro® HD Helmet HERO™ Camera. As an added bonus, during their trip to Oregon, YoBeat will also take them out to a steak dinner at the legendary Acropolis, and Tim Zimmerman may, or may not be there. Party Time Nate definitely will though. Anyway, your votes will decide which photographer wins it all, so choose wisely! THE POLLS WILL CLOSE AT MIDNIGHT ON JANUARY 31, 2011.

The Firing Squad is a weekly photo competition. Winners of a single battle will receive a gift certificate worth $50 good for anything at Buysnow.com. Should a photo survive 4 weeks, the photographer will receive a place in the Champions Gallery a DAKINE Camera Pack, an additional $100 to spend as they please at Buysnow.com, and a chance to compete in the year-end Ultimate Champions battle and win a session at the High Cascade photo Workshop. Photo 1 sucks in almost every way but timing, photo 2 is exposed poorly but cool feature and lines, photo 3 is lit VERY well, but is somewhat uninteresting in general, GREAT lighting though.

Hey Terry do you know what’s the bad news, the bad news is that Yobeat tried to promote Brendan’s photo as hard as they can , so he can win. But worst thing about them is that we know what’s snowboarding is, and it’s all about creativity and i really don’t see any creativity in those two photos.
With all my respect to JP Laogos, he took a photo in a skate park, that park is there every day, you just need to go there and wait for the proper light. It’s the same with Brendan’s photo, they just hit a quater that it’s build by someone else, and it’s there you just need to go and do it. I’ve seen 13 years old Shown White to do that trick, i’ve seen Lozyo to stomp it from first try, there are thousend of photos like that. Can someone from yobeat or some of the red neck haters up there to say that this is creativity, is it something new?
And about Alexander’s and Lozyo photo, can someone find a shot and a spot like that? Have you ever seen that kind of spot in the movies or magazines, had some of your pro heros did that, no Lozyo did it!
