They say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. What does it say when you fail at the imitation part? This week, we have snowboarders trying to be other snowboarders, but coming up short.

Let’s leave your pre-ride business out of this, no one cares what old ass food your mom left you in there two weeks ago. Your rail moves weren’t too bad. Just cut out the self proclamations and the candy grind sweatshirt (I’ll give you a pass on the never summer) and you’re set.
Venom and Eternity teaser 1: D
I don’t know if it’s possible to bite PSOTRATSOC1983 any harder than you tried to in this teaser. And this teaser might even be more confusing than that one. It was like you were out solo filming that dumb swing set when you saw Brisse and Alito across the way hitting a rail so you ran over to stroke them off and snag some sick shots.

I can tell you’re fairly new to Yobeat. You submitted an edit that is primarily skiing. Maybe you thought to yourself, nah it’s cool, they don’t know much about skiing so they’ll think it’s sick. Wrong. Or perhaps you said to yourselves, “Jerm works for Saga, we wear Saga, maybe he’ll give us a break. Wrong. If you came around this site more often you would have discovered that I am basically a skier myself so I know that your soggy-ass half locked, weak tapped rail moves are just that, soggy and weak. You guys need some more work. Leave the camera at home for a couple days and try to land a clean trick or two.
Couple Clips Ep. 4: D-
Few things get me off like some heavy vignetting and an out of focus shot. What were you trying to accomplish by submitting this edit? The only positive that will come out of this is that you might get a few more views. But how is that positive when all it does is show more people how bad you all are at snowboarding. And don’t give me the “our mountain’s park is shitty lalalala.” No excuses, just results.
Mini Shread: WISLA: D+
The DC parks, US (rip) and this Euro one, seem to be similar to Disney theme parks. The US version is amazing, every kid and most adults want to go there. The European one on the other hand….well you’ve seen the edits. But enough about the terrain, when you half land tricks that you’re amped on high five your friend, buy yourself some candy, do whatever, but don’t put it in an edit. We don’t care that you just learned sameways yesterday and can now do them on the big rail.

This looks like a Footy Fiend Whistler edit, but without the sick riding. And I’m sure someone is going to bitch about how you need to interlace or deinterlace the footage, I don’t really care. The edit was just kind of boring. I see what you’re trying to accomplish, but you came up short.

I give you 1 ¼ out of 5 stars for ouch factor on these bails. Most of them were just dumb. When you make a crash reel, it should make people wince and wonder how the guy is still walking.
Ninja Weekend Season 2 EP.3: D-
Can you cut out the shot at :56 and make that into it’s own solo clip edit? Just play that over and over at varying speeds. I just want to watch how well he locks into that slide. And what’s with the title? I didn’t see a single Bruce Lee or Mr. Miyagi reference.

I don’t like to make a habit of rejecting girl edits for a couple of reasons. 1: they’re usually not that bad as far as women’s snowboarding goes. And 2: you definitely don’t want girls in the snowboard world getting pissed at you. There are far too few of them and word will soon get around that you’re a son of a bitch. Next thing you know you’ll be living in Chicago, contributing to a snowboard blog, and you’re best and only friend will be Brooke Geery. However, this girl had to use some homemade song from her boyfriend/dad/brother/whatever. Killed the edit.
What would Bear Mtn do at RMR parks: C-
You guys weren’t kidding with the “What Would Bear Mtn Do” thing. Slush, flat features, indirect attack angles. All you guys are missing is the talent and the style and you’d have yourself a regular ole Sunday in the Park episode.

Am i the only one who gets stoked on seeing these rejected edits? everyone always hates on Jerm for doing what he does but i think its pretty awesome. Hes giving criticism on how to actually MAKE it on the site, although hes a dick about it, it helps these kids out. Im sure a lot of them know they wont make it on but they wana find out what they have to do. I get excited cause its nice seein kids trying, even if its not the best tricks in the world i know these guys are all havin fun and enjoying themselves and they have an edit to prove it.
