Chris Roach Talks to Buoloco

Man, talking about history is so hip now. As for this one, Todd said it best, “Kids need to know who Roach was. Roach is the reason you hold your tricks grabs till you land.”

Chris Roach, a Snowboard Living Legend, talks in his first part interview about how he sees snowboarding…past and present (his opinion on the snowboarders now and the Olympics.)
Chris probably has the best grasser, and slow trick rotations ever.
He’s a Grass Valley true Kalifornian for life and a master of style.
Special thanks to Bob Klein

  1. Chris Roach took the sport from the cheesy flourescent surf influenced snowboarding of the 80′s to the more skate influenced style that persists today. He also single handedly popularized backside 180′s overnight with his halfpipe section in Snowboarders in Exile.

If anyone deserves a little light shining on em’ in snowboarding’s massive heap of forgotten pros it’s Chris Roach. He inspired just about every kid that went on to move the sport forward in the 90′s.
