The Weekly Mash Up: September 27, 2013By admin • Sep 27th, 2013 • Category: Features, Latest, Random, Videos
Starting now, we’re going to do weekly recaps of the snowboard internet world. Why? Because even we can’t keep up with everything and we sit and stare at the snowboard Internet all day. It’s also a good excuse to post some of the videos we missed this week such as this hardass edit from Down Under.
As far as what you may have missed, we’ll start right here at Yobeat. Highlights here included the premiere of SEGCOS’s movie for a limited time online, (but it’s still up so watch it while ya can) a catch up with After Hours, Hump Day with our favorite Dentist Dr. B, a flurry of Hot Dawgs and Handrails nonsense, we broke down some history, and we got a new Intern! Also, since it’s the time of year when you have to buy new stuff, we’re giving some away for free, including Airblaster gear and a Yobeat Five-panel.
Enough about us. Whoever edits for Never Know (above) has some skills, but if you’re really into being teased, this week teasers for Absinthe’s Dopamine and Pirate’s Distorted Reality dropped, as well as Alpha-Omega from Hash Heaven films. In industry news, Mikey Leblanc now rides for Powderjet and hotels are filling up for the Downtown Throwdown in Minneapolis. Burton dropped it’s Street movie. Jeremy Jones is still really good.
(avobe) Tre Squad asked Shaun White for a handy, but that’s not as exciting as the fact it was basically Forest Bailey week. Adidas welcomed him, and then Transworld used that momentum to tease it’s movie Nation with Forest’s full part. If you like chyll boarding, you probably still have a boner.
It’s episodes later and Ian Sams is still getting lost (you’d think Arbor would have gotten him a map or an app or something by now) and speaking of So Cal boarding, Flux is dropped the teaser for its series, Breaking Bear, which let’s face it, is not gonna be as good as Breaking Bad, but might be alright. Also, if you like babes that can board, then go watch What the Hel.
Airblaster is releasing its full movie “Gone Wild” in parts and this week they went to Japan. It makes us glad Hood is getting dumped on cause we’d like to ride some of that powder stuff soon.
On the other side of the pond, Onboard elaborated on a couple of our stories, discussing what is a kink and how to assemble a badass crew. They also love lists (they drive mad hitz) and explored 20 contests worth checking out, 15 Skier fails and made Gifs from 180-1080 and more, but now we’re dizzy. Speaking on awesome Gifs, Illicit Snowboarding crushed with these.
Like full movies? Some People’s Kids are making it happen.
The new issue of Method Mag dropped and you can look at it here. They also got to know Jack Kyle and followed Seth Hill to Australia. Apparently those guys are big in Europe. In other Southern Hemisphere news, here’s the new FYVE edit.
Oh and back here in the states, Aunti Films released Niko Nakimura’s full part from Don’t Give a Bloody Sox (below). No, we have no idea what that means. If you like full part and/or season edits, you should also check out AJ Ogden’s, Jed Anderson’s Never Not section, and the Erikson brothers in this week’s People’s Court.
And that’s about it. Some other stuff probably happened as well, but what do we look like, the New York Times?
