Although it was hard to concentrate with that announcer calling it the “GrAAHnd Prix” here’s what we gleaned that matters:

-Shaun White pulled out of the pipe contest to concentrate on slope, in which he got third. He’s now qualified to go to the Olympics for slope style, and has three more events to be the top American. Considering the rest of the podium was Staale Sanbech and Torstein Horgmo, and the first American (other than Shaun) was Chas Guldemond in 5th.

-Both Chas and Kelly Clark sewed up their Olympic invites with this event. Congrats guys.

If you want to read a real journalistic” take on all this, there’s an AP story on ESPN.
