Degrassi: The Next Generation

The greatest show ever is back!

Ten years later, my Degrassi dreams have finally come true. The wonderful people at Canadian television have decided to bring back the greatest show ever made, Degrassi Junior High. The kids are all grown up, and the first episode brings them all back together for their ten year reunion. Incase you were wondering, the future is bright for those who gradated from our favorite Canadian High School.

Joey is a used car salesman. He has a daughter and a dead wife, and has actually become somewhat introverted with the exception of a commercial in which he rips off his shirt, reminiscent of walking across the cafeteria naked to buy his first car. He still, is appears, carries a torch for Caitlin. We find Miss Ryan engaged, although it is broken off at the reunion, and a big star hosting her own environmentally friendly TV program. The temptress/slut Stephanie is an aspiring actress, who is basically the one to steal away Caitlin's fiancé, Keith. Snake is now bald and a teacher at Degrassi. Spike is a single mom with a daughter, Emma, who is as much trouble as she was. In the first episode, Emma has already gotten herself molested by an internet pervert (it is good to see they are already covering current issues.) Simon and Alexia have six kids, and Lucy, after two years of physical therapy, has a bunch of useless college degrees. Even Wheels came back, although he has been ostracized by the kids of Degrassi after spending the last 10 years in prison because of the drunk driving incident and Dwayne is still alive and kicking with HIV.

All in all, the gang still rules, and has every problem imaginable. The new cast promises to be just as scandalous, especially with their new media immersion lab. Mr. Radich says it's going to be great!
