Have you adjusted your bindings to fit your boots? with every new thing you you get or upgrade on your board you should always adjust and make sure you are properly setting up everything to work best with each other.
Also i have rome 390's and think they are fantastic bindings, great response you would typically find in a stiffer binding, but they are a little softer so you still get the ability to tweek out grabs, and get loose on rails!
So im a little late to this, but i just had to mention some boards, sorry if they have been mentioned before.
if you ride park and want to be able to rip the rest of the mountain, get a 2012 rome reverd. rode it at loon this year, and loved it. true twin, mountain pop rocker (rocker under feet, camber at tip and tail) mid-soft flex. $400 this board is the best example of the "double camber" out there, loved it way more than the b sherlock and most others.
now im a guy who rips all mountain, but wants to be able to ride park on the days when its sunny and the snow sucks, so i liked the 2012 artifact mtn pop more, stiffer and directional…slightly. $500 even tho i say i like the artifact more, i would still be 100% happy with the reverb, i just like a stiffer board, and the extra float a set back stance gets in pow.
sadlly even tho i have ridden these great boards, i cant get one till next year will the rest of ya, so i have been riding a 2011 ride kink for this past winter. not bad for a board thats 350! stiffer than i expected, that was a pleasant supprise, and it holds an edge better than most rocker boards. so for the rail guys/jibbers it is a solid board that will hold up to some all mountain riding.

Go unions
yes. if you want a durable all mountain binding go union, the forces and atlas's would be my suggestion, and they have to be forces 2010 or newer, the toe strap on the 2009 forces don't have the opening which makes them slip off the toe easier.
Can anyone give me some solid info about DWD boards? I cant find many reviews anywhere, but the few things I do hear are good. Anyone ride one?
DWD's are solid boards. They're made in the Elan Factory alongside boards like Artec and Capita. They used to be made in the Signal factory and were pretty shitty, but since they've moved to Elan the quality has improved. The Rat Maet would be comperable to a Horrorscope or Ultrafear, camber and flex wise.
As for bindings, Unions and Flux's are my favorites. Unions are just solid and great riding bindings. Contact Pro's may be the best binding I've ever ridden. I rode Flux TT30s last season and really like the comfort and durability of them. Rome also makes a pretty nice binding. Just stay away from Burtons (cheap plastic) and Ride Contrabands, which are probably the WORST thing ever invented.
How do you specifically tell how you like bindings? Im currently riding Rossi Cobras, but don't really feel a specific difference between these and previous bindings i rode. I defenitely have a preference in straps, but as long as the highback/base isnt to floppy im good. Is it more like flexibilty on rails and support for jumps.

Well I think you just said it right there, you said what you liked in a binding, what you're going to be using it for and flexibility. That wasn't supposed to be rude haha. But unions for lyfe.
i Just got a team 8 snowboard this year and it is by far the best board i have ever had.
The great thing about team 8 is they only make them custom and they are a very small comany from portland Maine.
what you do is go to there web page http://www.teameight.com and then use the configurEIGHTor. you pic what kinda board you want and they make it to you specs meaning shape, flex, camber or rocker and you can even give them a pic to put on the top sheet. the boards run from 350 if you dont get a grapthic to 450 if you do.
i Strongly recommend these boards they are not mass produced and only one guy makes every board so you know he really cares about them out come.

How are Burton bindings cheap plastic. Union and Burton use the same plastic for there bindings (duPont Zytel). The only difference is union uses an extruded aluminum heelcup. I have never ever seen a Burton binding break and i work at a shop. I have only seen one Union binding break and it was a manufacture defect.
Any takes on K2 WWW Rocker versus Salomon Salomonder? I like to jib alot.
I loved my www, it was sick but extremely noodley. Like ultra noodle. Everyone I know who rides a salomonder loves it, but I cant say anything from personal experience about it.
Thanks man. Yea, I've been noticing that about the WWW Rocker and it being noodley. Love the board and I think they changed it to make it flatter on the new one, but I have an older version and all boards naturally noodle with time, and I have noticed I have been slipping out on harder landings. I think I'll give the Salomonder a whirl seeing as the ol' boards pretty beat!
