the rail did that, hit right above the boot. the scab looked like beef jerkey.
My friend Dex did that. But he split it open, you could see the muscle and shit. Fun times.
Mine was last season I was looking back to film one of my friends on the GoPro, I wasn't paying attention to what was infront of me… I fell Face first into a tree. broke my nose and had to get 4 stitches on my right Eye brow. Not that bad but damn it hurt.

Nose of my board clipped a barrel at the top of a hip, landed on the flat and broke my wrist. Out for the rest of the season.

I have a fresh one. It was first run in the morning decided to do a chill park lap it was really icey and i went to ollie on to an unimpressive down bar like i have a million times before, backed out last minute, hit the nose of my board on the rail, hit my knee, then did an awesome face slide and now i look like i fought mike tyson.

Just had a pretty wild, and stupid one -
Was up at the local hill yesterday and was itching to hit this 40'-50' gap since I haven't really gotten much air this year. It was really slushy, the lighting was really flat, and there were some snow chunks on the ground that hadn't been cleared out (stuff I figured I could steer around). I was just going to slip the jump to get a feel for it so I dropped in and when I went to slip it towards the bottom of the drop-in, I either hit something or the snow broke because I got sent into the ground at full speed, scorpion'd. I couldn't breathe for a while, there was some blood coming out of my nose, a cut on my forehead, and my ribs and back were/are all F'd up. I might've also gotten a mild concussion. One of my buddies watching thought I snapped something. Even though I didn't cut much open, it was pretty f'ing brutal. Definitely not as bad as some of the posts I've read in this thread, but it really sucked. It could've been worse, though. If anything, like the rest of these posts, it serves as a reality check that this shit can be dangerous…
On a side note, it's crazy how many injuries happen at unexpected or mundane times.

I had been hitting this mellow gap from a cat track into a roughly 50 ft slope and airing it pretty solid throughout the day. After not hitting it for a few hours we came back in the afternoon and didn't realize since the sun had moved it was in the shade and the landing was incredibly hard now… Had been hitting smaller back 3's earlier in the day and I was like fuck it I'm boosting this shit, went for it, landed directly on my head. Thought my neck was broke and then I proceeded to slide down the rest of the landing with my flannel pulled up and sustained some gnarly road rash. My whole side basically looked like hamburger meat and my neck still clicks when I move it to the side.

Been riding 5 years and never had an injury keep me off my board until this one…..
Once upon a time, riding on a pow night @ Seymour at the end of March. Decided to duck a rope and do a tree run where there were no lights for one last run before the sun set completely….3/4's through the run, going down a steep part, lost my turn and started a slow horizontal helicopter spin through the air. As i was coming around i saw that i was either going to hit A) the abundance of fresh pow in front of me. or B) one small but strong-ass, narrow tree. Sure enough i wrapped my left knee around the tree about 90degrees to the left, and rebounded off of the tree…..not wanting to get my pass cut, we didnt call First Aid so my buddy helped drag me out of the trees for an hour, of what should have been a 30 second ride out………………A torn ACL, MCL, and who knows what else later, i finally just got off the crutches and took off my knee brace. Its been about 6 weeks and i have about 30 degrees of bendage in the knee, and the thing is still swole as F. Gettin an MRI next week. Hoping for the best, wish me luck dudes i want to be able to ride again :(
PS. Thank God for Canadian Health Care

Yea tendon tears are fun, I tore my PCL in a pretty badass longboard crash If i had to say so myself and I even made it to the bottom of the hill before I couldn't take the wobbles anymore, kept me out of PSU spring ball but I'll be good for the summer. Sorry it wasn't on snow though.

You should actually be happy the lip was poppy. If it weren't you would have over shot it worse if it were flat. Should work on that jump over shooting problem. It might really get you some day.
