The Misfits--9/27/98--Burlington VT

On September 27th the Misfits Played at Club Toast in Burlington VT.
After riding all day I showed up late, covered in dried sweat and a bit
bloody, but I was sporting the all too small Maiden shirt so I felt cool.
The line was long, and full of young wannabe punk kids. I was kind of
surprised they didn't sell out before we got there, but fuck it, they
didn't. The two bands that started the show off were Guy Smiley, and
Tree. We went out in between Smiley and Tree to get some pizza and got
caught in a thunderstorm.

When we got back we were mad wet and Tree had already started playing.
The played a bunch of songs dedicated to skateboarding and mosh pits.
Afterward the Misfits roadies were tuning up shit and everybody flocked
to the stage thinking they would be on in a second, they weren't.

When they came on stage they came on with pure style. The ghost
came out and shit, wild stuff. What can I say about the way Misfits
played, they went off. I spent half the time pushing my way toward the
stage and the rest of the time throwing slayers at Jerry. He was stoked
and I was stoked. He even gave me five at one point. Half way through
one of the roadies came out and sang a few songs. The crowd was one big
sweaty mess by this point, but I'll get sweaty to see the
Misfits any day. Michael Graves came back on and finished the show with
some good old songs. I was stoked when they played "We are 138"
because that's the only song of theirs I know. After too many years of metal,
I don't own any Misfits CD's. At the end Jerry was signing some
autographs and he signed my arm. Now I can do some serious name
dropping. The Misfits Rock!
