^^^^^ Editor's Note^^^^^

Helloo and welcome to the loong awaited issue 7 of the highly acclaimed Yoo Beat. Canadians are smoooth because they made the shoow Degrassi Junior High, they eat fudgee-ooo's, they have a monetary unit named "loooony," and, moost importantly, there is universal health care for every Canadian citizen. I suppose we here in the great United could learn a little something from our Cannuck Brethren. To honor their acheivements, their accents, and everything else the Maple Leaf stands for, we officially dub this the "Maple Leaf Pride" issue (pretend we're not too budget to install an "Oh Canada!" sound that would blare as you read). Also notice that this issue is brought to you on this fine April the 20th, (420, get it!!). Other than the Canadain tribute we plan to explore1997-1998 season, over which there have been many injustices that seem to be coming to the forefront of our wonderful sport as it matures.   In the following we plan to explain some of these wrongs indetail, intirely misrepresenting them to fullest of our abilities...  Enjoy, eh.

Gossip This month we seem to be flat out of gossip, so we had to improvise.  I'm sure you'll find it intellectually stimulating.

Muzak Fun for the Entire Family Our record reviews have taken a bit of a different approach. Let's just say, you've probably never heard of any of them.

US Open Click here to read an extremely precise summary of the 1998 US Open, so next year you know exactly why you don't want to go.

Adventures in Public Transportation Dickheads on the M(B)TA. Read a disturbing account here and now.

"Did anybody see that?" and other reasons judges suck If you don't hate judges now, you probably won't after you read this article, but at least I tried.

Interview with a Professional Drinker, I mean snowboarder, Jef Billo Jef Billo seems to be pretty good at snowboarding, and even though you've probably never heard of him, you should take an intrest in this because then you will be able to say, I knew him before he was a rockstar. (and he rides for a canadian company.)

Wrestlemania Unfortunately, YO BEAT's "access" to cable TV got cut off two days before the big event, but being the social butterflies that we are, we happened to be aquatinted to a classy character that goes by the name of "MC" had tickets to the event, and decided to write about it for no apparent purpose.  We then got ahold of it, and need I say more?

Photo Spread, Brah A collection of pipe shots, quarter pipe shots, and how bout that, more pipe shots.
