5/20/99- Good News for Burlington skateboarding:  After it's long overdue destruction this past April, many wondered if the hole left by the Burton ramp's destruction would ever be replaced. Local
skaters had little to fear however, as news from the underground is that the Burlington area will be graced with at least two new ramps this summer, with possibly more on the way. Construction began this past Friday on the new ramp at Burton Snowboards, a forty foot wide beast, being built by Matt
Gormley and Dave Woods. 16 feet of the ramp will be 10 feet high and 24 feet of it will be 9; 10 foot tranies, 14 feet of flat, with new steel.

The other ramp in town is reportedly being built by Ramptech of Maryland and will be 6 feet tall, 24 feet wide, and layered with the new Skatelite material. Construction on this ramp, which will be located at the temporary town park, is set to begin this week.

More updates on the way
